Catch British artist Alexander Gorlizki’s new show at Gallery Ark, Vadodara

Otherworldly Interiors is a selection of images by the artist showcasing the world of traditional Indian miniature paintings

With his new exhibition, artist Alexander Gorlizki engages in a cross-cultural conversation which takes place between his studio in Brooklyn and the workshop he has developed in Jaipur with his collaborator and friend, the miniature artist Riyaz Uddin.

The artworks and installations in the show weave together traditional Indian miniature painting with interiors, product and textile design to create an immersive experience of a whimsical world of stories and allegory, as imagined by the artist. This is Gorlizki’s second time exhibiting at Ark, having participated in the  group show Luminously Between Eternities, curated by Udaipur-based American artist Waswo X Waswo in 2018.
