RAK Ceramics' participation at ACETECH was a grand success
The opportunities were boundless and possibilities were endless, recall the triumphant team behind the stunning displays at the trade fair that drew 1200+ footfalls to the RAK booth during the four-day event
Earlier this month, RAK Ceramics participated in Asia’s largest and the world’s third largest building materials, architecture and design show - ACETECH in Mumbai, India. Over the years, Acetech has helped create better business networking opportunities among decision-makers of procurement companies and suppliers. Presided over by noteworthy personalities such as architect Hafeez Contractor and (real estate developer) Niranjan Hiranandani, the RAK team was elated to have 1200+ footfalls at their booth at the four-day event. The booth was designed and conceptualised by Alessandro Bucci, who had also designed the RAK Ceramics booth at Cersaie in Italy earlier this year. Anil Beejawat, RAK Ceramics' CEO, India; Marco Borghi, RAK Ceramics' DGM Marketing and Communications, UAE; and Darayus Bacha, RAK Ceramics' GM, Marketing and Communications, India along with the RAK Ceramics’ leadership team were present at the event.

To make this event a grand success, RAK had about 100 people working on this event around the clock. Thanks to their tireless efforts, building the stall from ground zero was made possible. -12 trucks were loaded with 17 tons of materials in each one, to make this happen. With 11 mock-ups and 8 different tile floorings mounting about 15,000sq-ft of tiles in a 4,500sq-ft area, the team had an intricate job on hand to fabricate and finish the task in a matter of six days.
"Talking about gigantic tasks, where slabs are 8ft in height, our team had to mount slabs in mock-ups of 12ft. The challenge was to mount one 4ft slab on an 8ft slab in a matter of hours. Living up to the standards our customers and visitors deserve, the team was entrusted with the task of cutting tiles to perfection. The fabrication was so delicate, that there were minute details to bear in mind. For example, cutting the tiles at a 45-degree angle. This included tabletops, kitchen counters, shelves, moving shelves - all made of slabs. Due to the massive height of the structure, carpentry was a time-consuming task and so was the cutting of the slab and lighting. This lavish and multi-faceted booth was fabricated by Carpediem Events," said Darayus Bacha - GM Marcom - RAK Ceramics India.
