Saket Sethi represents the gen-next of architects, balancing projects in India and Europe. Sethi has garnered impeccable academic credentials for his inborn calling: Graduate of Rachna Sansad, Mumbai, trained in Architecture at Woodbury University, LA, specialised in Digital Design at UC Berkeley, USA and a diploma in Interior Design at New York University with internships in the US influencing his design thinking and language. He started off in 2001 with Talati & Panthaky and later, Nitin Parulekar where he rose from senior architect to director of projects. Sethi founded Archilogics in 2005 with partner, Rupali Saple, driven by the challenge of technological developments. The idealistic duo were intrigued by the possible outcomes of impacting clients positively, be it a small project or a challenging one like the 22-acre Science and Technology campus for the Aditya Birla group. While Sethi was captivated by Gaudi’s Familia Sagrada and equally by futurists like Zaha Hadid, Nouvel and OMA; he has an eclectic following among his A-list Bollywood and industrialist clients. The architect-designer dubbed as ‘The Architect of Energy’ has showcased celebrity homes as a host for NDTV Good Times and Fox Life, besides having modelled and worked as an artist. Sethi was invited by the Government of Spain as a representative to attend La Biennale. He was the winner of Godrej’s furniture design contest for two years in a row, and is credited with the introduction of 3D printed furniture to India. Sethi’s Tesla Design Lounge at the Milan Design Week made a green statement, literally spelling the narrative of the sustainable future of design.
