Inspired by nature’s intricate designs, Rachna’s design philosophy is all about creating spaces that not only harmonise with their surroundings but also tell meaningful stories. At RGP Design Studio, which she founded in 2016, Rachna has led numerous projects that embody her holistic approach to architecture.

With bright, voluminous spaces seamlessly transitioning between indoors and outdoors, this house reflects Rachna’s commitment to blending traditional Mangalorean architecture with contemporary design elements.
Rachna’s commitment to sustainability is evident in her approach to design. In the Beeri residence, she repurposed century-old Mangalore tiles and salvaged wood to minimise waste and reduce the ecological footprint. Rainwater harvesting and the integration of local materials further highlight her commitment to the environment.
Technology serves as a vital tool in Rachna’s design process, enabling her to blend traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation. From digital fabrication methods to advanced 3D modelling software, Rachna uses technology to create buildings that resonate with both past and present.
Rachna’s dream project, a lush tropical forest sanctuary, reflects her visionary approach to architecture. Rooted in principles of sustainability, this project aims to reconnect humanity with the natural world.
