A second-generation developer and a first-generation architect and urban designer, Rajiv has been fascinated with varying aspects of the built environment throughout his childhood. At the House with Poise villa, Indore designed by him, the volumetric play conceals space filled with rich warmth, while a plethora of textures, materials, and colours come alive, perfectly in sync with the landscape.
The only relevant and fulfiling sustainable measures are those which enhance and enrich end user experience.
On Conscious Design
Rajiv is convinced that the next major leap in the design industry is going to be our consciousness of the environment and the reduction of our carbon footprints. With research underway for the same, he is constantly looking for newer and better ways to build designs not only conscious of the environment but also towards its occupants.
Looking Forward
Established in 2010, Rajiv’s firm was the first in India to have featured in the prestigious EVOLO Skyscrapers competition for their project – the ‘Poro-City’. To date, that remains a dream project for Rajiv, one that organizes the high-density environments we see around us into an integrated 3-dimensional city, addressing concerns of climate, environment, and sustainability of the community at large.
