With over a decade of experience spanning micro and macro scales of design and planning, Ravi’s design philosophy revolves around the principles of “Less is more,” “Build to last,” and “Biophilic,” aiming to create environments that embrace nature’s elements and enhance users’ well-being.
Graduating from BMS College of Engineering, Bengaluru, Ravi furthered his education with a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from SPA Mysore, along with various specialised certifications in logistics infrastructure and sustainable design.
Growing up in Bengaluru, Ravi witnessed the city’s transformation from the Garden City to the IT Capital, fuelling his passion for architecture and urban planning. His career journey began with hands-on experiences, from designing CSEB homes to working on logistics infrastructure for seaports in India. Later, he served as Assistant Director of Town Planning, where he contributed to enhancing Bengaluru’s infrastructure and representing the city in specialized committees.
For Ravi, sustainability is not just a moral imperative but an economic necessity. He advocates for the optimum use of technology in design, recognising its potential to enhance architectural practices while ensuring accessibility for all. While acknowledging the advancements in AI and technology, he emphasises the importance of retaining human creativity and cognitive capabilities in the design process.
Ravi’s dream project aims to provide sustainable housing for the underprivileged communities in Bengaluru, aligning with principles of biophilic design and reclaiming prime land for public use.
Some of Ravi’s significant completed projects include a gen-Z workspace for Atri Consulting Pvt at Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad and The Tile Box in Hyderabad, which, with its experiential design, redefines tile shopping.
