Welspun Flooring has launched its manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, Telangana. Having forayed into the flooring segment in 2018, this launch cements the organisation’s focus on diverse innovative products offerings. KT Rama Rao Garu, Honorable Minister of MA&UD, Industries and IT&C, Telangana, inaugurated the facility.
Set up with an investment of Rs 1,100 crore, the state-of-the-art facility is spread across 200 acres, employs close to 1,600 members and has implemented strict safety and hygiene measures. Equipped with some of the finest machinery, it creates unique color options, combinations and caters to any kind of shade requirement.
Adjacent to this facility, Welspun Group is also establishing a manufacturing plant for its emerging business – Advanced Textiles. Honourable Minister of MA&UD, Industries and IT&C, Telangana, laid the foundation stone for this unit, which will commence its functioning soon. The company will invest Rs 400 crores over a span of two financial years.

I am confident that through our new innovative product offerings in flooring, we will create a differentiation for ourselves to drive the next phase of our growth and further consolidate our global leadership position.”
Reinforcing its commitment to contribute towards sustainable development, Welspun Flooring has taken efforts to be a zero landfill company and has identified various processes for waste management. The facility is targeted to use 20% renewable energy by 2022 and 100% by 2030. It has signed a contract with SCS, USA, for a zero waste certification project, GHG study and carbon neutrality programme. Additionally, the company has planted 5,000 trees in the first phase and will plant 50,000 in the next three years.
