A breath of fresh air with Bellaria

Falmec creates an innovative air purification system – Bellaria

A healthy environment is recognised by the quality of the air we breathe. In fact, the polluted air within enclosed spaces – whether it’s in private homes, workplaces or dedicated to the community – can pose a very insidious threat to our health. Just think of the daily and sometimes intensive use of chemicals for cleaning or the harmful components that originate from heating, air conditioning or even from the appliances themselves.

To counteract this problem, Falmec created the Bellaria, an innovative air purification system designed by Marco Zito, which eliminates unpleasant smells and substances potentially harmful to the body. Its active ionisation process derives from the experience accrued from the Falmec hoods equipped with E.ion System technology. Bellaria brings the ionic balance present in the atmosphere into indoor spaces, ensuring an 85% reduction of the bacterial charge and 71% of the mycotic charge, normally present in the environment.

These extraordinary results are certified by tests carried out in the Department of Molecular Medicine at the University of Padua in Italy, as a guarantee of a really effective system. The process of air sanitisation is visualised by a light indicator in the shape of a leaf, whose change of colour from yellow (polluted) to green (clean) testifies the progressive improvement of the environmental conditions. Moreover, consistent with the principles of luminotherapy, Bellaria offers the possibility of adjusting the intensity of the light emitted.

Defined by designer Zito, as “a standalone mobile object, discreet and full of technological content”, the Bellaria is a truly versatile item of furniture, available in white, red, yellow and grey, which slots seamlessly into any living area or office. Handmade in Murano glass according to the tradition of the Venetian masters, the Bellaria not only demonstrates Falmec’s link with the area, but also the Venetian company’s desire to offer a product that combines one of the best known and appreciated icon of Italian manufacturing with the most sophisticated technology available. In addition, the Bellaria is equipped with a dimmable LED system, which adds a high-efficiency light to the purifier function to ensure a perfect atmosphere in the home.
