Curiousa & Curiousa introduce the Cocoon light

This beautiful light is finished with a hand turned walnut fluted stem and antique gold twisted fabric flex

Bespoke lighting company Curiousa & Curiousa have announced the latest addition to their hand-blown glass pendant light range – the Cocoon. This elegant new design has been developed by Esther Patterson, the designer behind Curiousa & Curiousa, and is handcrafted in Derbyshire, making every piece unique.

A clear hand-blown glass shade cocoons an elegant and compact brushed brass fitting with a small inner cup holding a piccolo bulb. This beautiful light is finished with a hand turned walnut fluted stem and antique gold twisted fabric flex. All these elements come together to create an organic, elegant and timeless light piece.

Patterson further explained the background to the light: “I originally designed this light for my own dining space. I needed it to speak out with quality but also be slightly understated as there was so much else going on in the room, such as my son’s rather loud figurative wallpaper. I really needed something to complement and not clash with the space. I just love simple crafted materials so, for me, the marrying of the cocoon shaped hand-blown clear glass shade and hand turned walnut stem really do make me very happy indeed.”

The light is available in 23 different colours, 10 different flex colours and five finishes.
