Located in the heart of the historic city of Mysuru, Sharada Jewellers is a famous third-generation purveyor of exquisite Coorg jewellery. Eight Degrees Design House created a dazzling retail experience that felt native albeit through a fresh lens. The bespoke atmosphere fuses Mysuru’s rich Indo-Gothic heritage along with modern details and finishes. The vision for each floor was to synchronise the design with the jewellery pieces displayed.
The entire store sees a predominant use of blue, red and gold hues with display systems that ensure each jewel stands out. While the daily wear gold section is on the ground floor at entry-level, the diamond and traditional corgi gold section are on the first floor. The semi-precious stones and silver section on the second floor is designed in a minimal language to accommodate the chunkiness of silverware.
“The main objective with the design was the moment a customer steps into the store and until they leave, the customer’s perception of the brand is of significant importance. The customer should be constantly engaged and should take back home an overall experience which satisfies all senses,” concludes Chrisann Rodrigues, principal architect of Eight Degrees Design House.
