Viega India is one of the leading manufacturers of installation technology for sanitary and heating. The company’s Advantix Vario product has impressed with its outstanding design and high flexibility since its introduction to the market. The shower channel now comes in a new variant, ‘Advantix Vario wall drain’, which is fully variable in length and can be fixed into the tiling thanks to the drainage gap height of two centimetres. The product has already been awarded with the ‘Design plus powered by ISH’ label.
Functionality: These fittings drain over the entire length, and even large tiles can be fitted here without any problem. The ‘Advantix Vario wall drain’ is functioned to be self-cleaning. In addition, the base plate has smooth walls so that no hair, etc, can get caught. Just a cloth is needed to clean the channel hygienically.
The drain disappears into any wall, and the low installation depth allows various opportunities to install in a lightweight construction wall, a pre-wall installation or even in front of a solid wall. The shower channel itself, consisting of a base plate and narrow, attractive stainless-steel grate, can be installed without any problems – even in small bathrooms or into a shower corner. Its drainage capacity is between 0.6 and 0.75 litres per second, depending on the installation.
Design: ‘Advantix Vario wall drain’ is consistent and puristic, which allows seamless integration into the tiled floors with a metal grate of just four millimetres in width and colour-coordinated cover caps. The grate and cover caps are available in matt and gloss stainless steel as well as in black and white. The new shower channel for wall installation can be combined with all ceramic coverings up to a thickness of 2.8cms.
For bathroom renovations with narrow installation heights, the manufacturer offers a special design of 70mm instead of 90mm. But despite the low height, a sufficient water seal head is preserved to protect against odours.
