Cocoon Fine Rugs celebrated its 10th Anniversary and unveiled new collection
The latest range is a tribute to the Bauhaus movement
Indian rug brand Cocoon Fine Rugs celebrated its 10th anniversary at their Bengaluru gallery, and unveiled their latest collection that is a tribute to the Bauhaus movement.
The Bauhaus movement was arguably the single most eminent modernist art school of the 20th century. Inspired by the ethos of the movement, Ayush Choudhary, founder of Cocoon Fine Rugs, has launched a new collection to celebrate what inspired him at the start of his journey and also mark 100 years of the Bauhaus movement. These objets d’art have been hand-knotted from the finest raw materials and aim to bring an indulgent feel with an element of modern design.
The signature line of rugs has been made in hand-carded wool with natural, hand-spun silk accents, which comes in a soft and muted colour scheme, bringing a timeless appeal with it. Establishing a whimsical feel and geometric arrangements – design concepts that Bauhaus became famous for, these rugs will become a great focal point for those with a refined taste, Choudhary believes.
The Bauhaus inspired collection is now available at Cocoon’s flagship galleries in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Jaipur and Kolkata.
