Essentia Environments designs a stunning 4,500 sq-ft penthouse in Gurugram

The DLF Crest home is a perfect amalgamation of modern architecture and traditional design touches

How should your home make you feel? Most of us would say calm, happy, like a blanket after a cold day outside. A home is a place where you live, laugh and feel comfort. One of India’s premier design and build firms, Essentia Environments, truly believes that a home should be an extension of one’s style and lifestyle. This home, in the heart of Gurugram, is a perfect amalgamation of modern architecture and traditional design touches.

The home features a double-height entrance with a statement chandelier that instills a sense of space and grandeur as soon as one enters. The courtyard in the living area brings the outside in with a lush green tree on a sunken gravel base with an accent light. The custom-designed metal mesh separates the staircase from the drawing area while maintaining spaciousness.

Custom designed furniture from Essentia Environments adorns the drawing area and uses neutral colours to match the walls and the Bottochino Crema floors. The neutral colours are balanced with vivid art and décor pieces that help keep the space timeless and fresh. The designer mirror above the Statuario clad credenza helps make the space look bigger.

The duplex apartment features a double height staircase accented with a statement art piece along with a rose gold accented glass railing. The staircase leads to the family lounge with a double-height window cut out overlooking the entrance and the chandelier. The minimal look of the room is contrasted by the abstract art piece on the wall.

The master bedroom features a bookmatched marble back wall and a floor-to-ceiling mirror to make the room look even more spacious. The accent chair adds a little more colour to the room. Other bedrooms feature quilted headboards with golden metal accents and efficient use of mirrors to heighten the sense of space.

Grass inlays and custom planters by Essentia make the balcony the perfect place to unwind after a long day. The balcony also features a marble-clad bar and a custom sculpture by Essentia carved out a solid piece of wood. A screening area along and the stone table with an in-built barbeque make the perfect recipe for a fun get together with friends and family. This residence is the perfect blend of form and function. It is minimalist, yet well appointed and modern, yet timeless.
