Lathed in gold reflection and modern interior style, ‘Maison d’Or’ exudes a rich timeless opulence. The 3 BHK flat impersonates the client’s vision signifying luxury in small settings while aiming at comfort and warmth. Being updated on the latest trends, Team The KariGhars have abundantly included the Pantone Colours of the year 2021, Illuminating & Ultimate Gray in many areas of the house. The residence was delivered within a timeframe of two months in a dream-like manner laced to perfection.
The house opens up to a mesmerising entrance lobby that radiates bare gold sophistication. The brass artefacts on the white counter table stand out, while the metal inlay work is a first of a kind. On the table, a brass mirror coupled with a hanging pendant light, highlights the elegance of the house. The green plants in customized planter boxes bring a distinct hue to the beige gold palette of the room. The lobby gives way to the living room which comprises a marble-clad wall and a stunning gold wall hanging, further illuminating the well-designed space. The TV console table is the main focal point of the room, finished with a marble panel for the television imported from Australia. The five-seater sofa is embraced around gold leaves with a neutral colour scheme.
The symmetric line of hanging chandeliers in the centre of the room spread ultra-modern vibes around the space. The hanging chandeliers behave as a divider between the dining and living room. The dining hall exudes class with the marble tabletop and the statement clock on the wall customised uniquely for the client. The windows lined in beige fabric bring in an abundance of natural light and ventilation into the room. The showcased bar and crockery stand along with the puja corner look well-lit and line up the wall with enriching radiance. The futuristic kitchen opening up from the dining hall looks a class apart with the metallic touches and crisp lines. The sliding door lined with planters dividing the utility room and the kitchen makes the area more accessible and adds a shade of green among the grey and white.
There are three bedrooms in the house, each carrying its own individuality depending upon the personalities of the family members it is designed for. The KariGhars have incorporated shades of grey in the kitchen and splashes of yellow-gold in the form of statement wall features in the living room.
The master bedroom emanates subtle elegant charm with statement furniture and embellished light pendants. The blue sofa and the custom-made bookshelf add to the aura of the earthy themed room. The highlighted wall at the bed headboard along with the ceiling light produces an inherent magnificent charm. This bedroom is the epitome of understated luxury, allowing one to relax in peace & tranquillity. On the other hand, the child’s bedroom is aimed at an energetic comfort and splashes of high-spirited leisure. A tailor-made study table and bookcase along with a stylised trunk bed gives the room a personalized appeal. The accent wall and the bright lighting makes the bedroom inviting and cosy for the kid.
Another remarkable feature of Maison d’Or is the home office that elevates the design of this residence a notch further. Entirely planned for the working couple and keeping in mind the work-from-home trend, the office has been finely tuned according to the client’s needs. The crisp white work station incorporates two computers and cabinets for storage while the customised sofa cum bed solves the need for rest during irregular work hours. The colour scheme of the room is in vogue with the colour of the year with the incorporation of the yellow and grey sofa cum bed. The little niche created by the window for seating paired with the hanging light gives the area a welcoming atmosphere. The world map on the cupboard is the result of a digital print produced on the glass of the sliding door. This map and the customised furniture accents room improves the aesthetics of the home office by leaps & bounds.
The home of the client exhibits grace with utmost charm & grandeur. With a contemporary modern style of interiors, the house represents a futuristic planning, custom made for the comfort of the clients. Statement furniture and bespoken artefacts define the interiors of the house. The client brief was short and entailed complete trust in The KariGhars. Having employed the firm again for the interiors of their home, there was an understanding between the designer and client brief. Having worked for them the second time around, the designing team recognised the client’s perception of the outcome and had the freedom to establish luxury and rise above the client’s satisfaction. As stated by the client itself, The KariGhars are an embodiment of timeless luxury.
