Minimizing the direct rays
As a response to climate, all major spaces in the building are oriented to face, “North”, thus minimizing direct sunlight. The team said, “We as designers had a responsibility to carefully follow legacy of regional architecture and at the same time should carry the style of the architect. A 12,500 sq ft Udaipur residence, Contextual and elegant in its spirit.”
Conjucting with nature
A sensitive architecture that understands that, in conjunction with nature, the design’s power increases resulting in warmer, cozier environment with high spatial qualities. This residence, with its well designed site, stands out among its peers, as it brings a balance of context, climate and time.
Fascinating to the eye
This is one of those beautiful projects come to life that has a beautiful water feature at the entrance, sleek and simple, eye catchy and refreshing. It brings fascination to the visitors and refreshment to the inhabitants. The classic black flooring on the outside, adds to the sophistication, and complements the white façade, making it visually and experientially unique.
Carefully falling into place
Among other things, the careful zoning of drawing room, aloof from the family and private spaces, and amidst the beautiful view of the front lawn and the water body, makes it a unique feature of the design. The double height family lounge with a full glass wall, towards the north, connects it with the outside, while respecting the climate and also interacts with the first floor family lounge and binds the two floors. All important spaces of ground and first floor interact with greens. Terrace is blended in the form to functionally achieve outdoor spaces at first floor level. The kitchen and dining are beautifully placed towards east, connecting to an outdoor landscaped deck and garden, enhancing the dining experience through design.
Strategically lit up
Even the drawing room is strategically placed to enjoy natural light and lush green views on two walls, immediately visually expanding the space into the greens through its full height windows. The marble centre tables complementing the marble floor, adds subtle texture to the naturally lit room, making it inviting and positive. Whites and nude shades of furniture combine perfectly with the natural colored marble floorings and table to make an eye pleasing, serene space. Primary bedroom, although dressed perfectly in cushioned comfort, stand apart with interesting use of mirrored, intricately cut stainless steel backdrop, adding the needed detail.
The residence is indeed a complete package with serene surroundings interacting with all the spaces within and family spaces made special!
