#AIExclusive: Tasteful textures and coy colours add a European touch to this Kanpur home

Designed by Woodcraft International’s Rajiv Sethi and Kavya Sethi for a family of 3 members in Kanpur. The ‘Fluted Home’ is spread over 2,500 sq ft and brings together an interplay of European style with minimal colors.

The brief caters to two bedrooms, living & dining, and a kitchen. The designers believe neutral tones are one of the best ways to keep the home looking tasteful and elegant. This home dwells in the tones of browns, whites, and beiges with gold & pastel green accents.

This space is designed by Woodkraft International’s Rajiv Sethi and Kavya Sethi for a family of 3 members, spreading over 2,500 sq ft based on a European style with minimal colors.

Easily European

The space is designed in such a way with neutral-toned walls, and the interplay of textures, arts, and lights. Moving around the space, Ganesh Ji is placed exactly at the entrance and rests on a classic black & mapa console along with the moulding, mirror and ceramics details on the wall besides. A double-height sky lit living room makes a catchy entrance foyer. Taking a hint from the Europeans, mouldings are used in the living room, dining room, and bedrooms. The kitchen blends in the tone of beige with white mosaic accent tiles.

An accent wine chair and rug is added in the living room to bring in the vibrancy to the entire space. The dining space has a huge sage green wall with black & grey bar unit and dining chairs made in shade of tan with ash wood legs complimenting the entire space.

Nesting in warmth

The master bedroom & the daughter’s bedroom are kept neutral toned. Colours are added through the mode of soft furnishings and pastel green accent chairs. We opted for coloured subway tiles in both the washrooms and teakwood vanities.
