Revel in the golden hour magic that charms this Mumbai home

T Home designed by Shreya Mago Designs is a combination of earthy and contemporary. An aesthetic that is calm, vibrant and organic.

Amidst the Mumbai skyline, lays an abode in the heart of the suburban land, on the 15th floor, overlooking the city & the sea. When it comes to residential interior design, this project for T Home is a unique one! Two adjoining 2BHK apartments were overhauled and combined into one beautiful and functional 4.5 BHK. The challenge was to create a space that reflected the individual personalities of the five people living in it while also creating a unified look and feel. With careful planning and creative thinking, we were able to blend different styles and colors to create a stunning home that everyone could enjoy!

Eclectic touches

The house comprises 4 bedrooms, a Den room and a kitchen with an expansive living and dining space that houses an inconspicuous bar unit. The design style is eclectic, seamlessly blending elements from various aesthetics into one cohesive space. Characterized by a relaxed mix of furnishings and accents drawn from diverse influences, eclectic decor typically features vibrant colors, bold patterns, and unexpected touches.

The Solid wooden double door entrance complemented by the passage in black & white flooring with grey tones in the ceiling, sets the mood for the home. Den room in not only its use but also its design reflects the aura of an English Study, with wooden flooring, a chesterfield sofa and a wooden desk. The green in the ceiling supplemented by greens above a repurposed wardrobe adds the tonal effect.

The living and dining area is an expansive space with spaces carved out for different purposes. The living area with a swing doubles up as formal seating, the bar area houses two lazy lounge chairs followed by the dining area.

An ode to the heritage

The grandfather’s bedroom mimics his grounded personality with an appreciation for beauty, through an arched ceiling marrying the grey tones of the entire bedroom. The wooden-glass wardrobe with curtain detail is an ode and adaptation of the wardrobe he remembers in his home before the partition.

The parent’s bedroom is a confluence of European taste and Indian origins. The silent contemporary furnishings & hand painted artwork complement decorative features, such as the oval mirror and wooden bed posters that were chosen so as not to compete with the vibrant purple wardrobe.

Within serene embrace

The son’s bedroom imbibes a quintessential millennial male youth, merging the rustic leather bed with concrete finish walls. Adding a sense of tranquility is the wardrobe finished in deep blue.

The daughter’s bedroom is a serene space, embracing a bold choice of a two-tone wall. This two-toned wall in peach and white provides a clean, modern way to add dimension to a space.

The unique featuer of this project is the aesthetics. The design blends different colors with textured materials to create visual depth. It mixes and matches patterns and hues to craft an engaging, visually appealing space.
