When our clients entrusted us with crafting their dream home –Â they sought something fresh yet were keen on retaining the existing white marble flooring that came with the property.
Organic forms
Taking cue from the curved terrace plan , we designed the Living room and terrace floor in concentric rings of brass inlays from the outside to the inside creating a strong visual connect and holding the entire floor space together ,perfectly marrying the traditional and contemporary aesthetic .Â
Designed exclusively by Sparc Design, the centre table takes inspiration from nature’s graceful forms, evoking the essence of an extruded leaf. This bespoke piece, along with the meticulously crafted TV console, not only unifies the design language but also infuses a touch of Indian heritage into the space.
Smooth curves in the design language follow, from the carefully curated lights to the intricate ceiling details and junctions. An old panel door, lovingly refurbished, now stands as the face of the storage space, a Ganpati sculpture welcomes visitors into the living space .
In the Kitchen, vibrant printed tiles inject a burst of color into the flooring and dado, while the neutral base of the cabinets provides a balanced backdrop. Adding a touch of opulence, the handles are finished in matte gold.
The apartment is a duplex with 2 bedrooms on the upper floor and the living , kitchen and an additional bedroom on the lower floor .
Hues of warmth
In response to the need for a bed, study table, and walk-in wardrobe, the master bedroom’s focal point emerges as an intriguing blend of scoops, both small and grand, complemented by brass accents and luxurious fabric. This artful composition extends seamlessly to the study table’s shelf detail, creating a cohesive visual narrative throughout the space. Hints of neutral veneer add a comforting warmth to the space.
The master toilet has been meticulously crafted with keen attention to detail. A brass vertical shelf detail adds a touch of luxury, while circular and curvilinear niches, intricately detailed, elevate the overall aesthetic.
The design language of the entire home is characterized by seamless curves. Existing offsets and beams in the second bedroom were meticulously smoothed and curved, creating a window niche finished in veneer and used as a sit out.
Injecting a bold yet sophisticated element, metal tubes painted in a striking blue serve as both functional supports and decorative accents for the headboard. Details in the front facia of the bed, adding a vibrant pop to the space .
An ode to heritage
Though modest in size, the Parent’s Room posed a challenge: accommodating a sizable storage need. To meet this demand without overwhelming the space, we opted for wardrobe shutters featuring fabric sandwiched between glass. This design choice imparts an airy feel to the wardrobes, while traditional handles offer a subtle nod to heritage.
Adding a touch of elegance and innovation, the bed’s backrest is composed in a bent brass frame enveloped in fabric, What truly sets it apart is the seamless integration of the bent brass detail, extending gracefully to the corner junction of the bed, creating a captivating visual harmony
In all ,The home is a fusion of artistic expression, cultural heritage, and meticulous craftsmanship, enveloping visitors in a comforting embrace from the moment they step inside !
