Step into a visual symphony at this Navi Mumbai apartment

Nestled within the NRI Complex in Navi Mumbai, Dimsum Studio’s design unfolds in a 1315 sq. ft 3BHK apartment, effortlessly blending modern aesthetics with functionality is this home designed by Dimsum Studio. In the bustling energy of Mumbai city, this apartment offers spaces that embrace the serene views of the Panvel Creek beyond. Narrative of thoughtful design and finely crafted spaces invites residents to immerse themselves in a realm of tranquillity and sophistication.

Crafting Spaces

The entrance graciously opens in the living room, where panoramic views of Panvel Creek captivate the senses. The living room effortlessly blends soothing grey tones and soft peach hues, creating a delightful harmony. The design tackles tricky geometry, showcased in the gracefully curved TV unit that becomes a captivating focal point in the hallway. The TV unit and shelf design adorning the sofa’s back wall are finished with a subtle PU paint that creates an unparalleled sense of luxury. A vibrant rug from ‘Jaipur Rugs injects warmth, and a lively burst of colour amidst the soft decor of a beige sofa, armchair, and rug—an inviting milieu for daily relaxation. Civil intervention creates a 3-seater seating enclave, enhancing the liveliness of the common area.

Transitioning along the living space is a dining area adorned with an expandable black dining table, flooded with natural light throughout the day. Here, a seamlessly integrated mandir unit, veiled in veneer continuing into the ceiling, finds its place. Adding to the allure, a fluted glass sliding door discreetly separates the dining area from the kitchen, maintaining both privacy and functionality within the space.

The kitchen, characterised by its simplicity and functionality, optimises storage while exuding timeless elegance. White countertops and grey subway tiles provide a sophisticated backdrop, harmonising effortlessly with sage green shutters, evoking a sense of refined charm and sophistication.

The private retreat

Journeying down the corridor is the Younger Daughter’s bedroom, shared with her grandmother in a muted palette expressed in beige bedheads, subtle peach wallpaper from Nilaya Wallpaper, and understated jute artwork. The mirror, with its organic shape, adds a playful gesture that resonates with the room’s character. Thoughtfully designed to maximize space efficiency, an integrated TV unit with a study desk seamlessly blends into the compact yet cosy ambience, ensuring comfort without compromising style.

The son’s bedroom exudes an eclectic spirit expressed in bold electric blue PU paint, reflecting his passion for painting. The wall behind the bed serves a dual function beyond simple division—it artfully masks the entrance to the bathroom, enhancing the room’s ingenious design. The artwork seamlessly extends from the bed, orchestrating a visual symphony that binds the vibrant blue-paneled wall. The wardrobe plays along with a mischievous design, complete with a statement corner. And for those lively gatherings, low-height seating around the bed becomes the secret ingredient for entertaining his friends – because every masterpiece needs an audience.

The master bedroom is defined by clean lines, grandeur, and a striking monochromatic colour scheme. Here, every detail is meticulously curated to create a timeless and inviting space. The design of the wardrobe is a continuum of the bedback, establishing a sense of visual cohesion.

The Fusion

Functionality meets aesthetics with the ingenious study table, which effortlessly folds into window seating that enjoys the picturesque views of the creek beyond. Hanging lights from the White Teak Company enhance the cosy ambience, tying the room together.

In their debut project, Dimsum Studio creates an elegant residence that is a harmony of soothing colour scheme and contemporary style. Keeping things light that reflect subtle and modern style, they have created a home conducive to modern-day family living.
