Take a closer look at the conscious light that shapes this Nanded villa

Designed by Sagar Mundada and Amit Kasliwal of 4th Axis Design Studio, this expansive Nanded home elevates conscious living with a touch of luxury.

This house has been carefully designed to meet the desires and needs of each family member. The house is built on a modest 7,750 sq ft plot facing west. While keeping aesthetics in focus, the designers have created a sophisticated yet luxurious design for the entire house, with each space reflecting the family’s aspirations for a modern and luxurious lifestyle.

Catering to consciousness

The house is situated on a 4,050 sq ft plot in the densely populated core of Nanded city. It faces a street on the North side and is surrounded by neighboring houses on the other sides. The design is tailored for a family consisting of a couple and their son, with spaces that cater to their daily needs and resonate with the new generation. The design approach emphasizes responsiveness to the climate and the surrounding site. The designers felt the need to incorporate natural outdoor landscapes within the house to allow the family to enjoy the surroundings without having to go outside.

The main entrance gate is located on the north side of the site, leading to a parking area. The parking area is designed to serve as a space for festive gatherings or leisure activities, with a small interaction space and a garden-like feel along its edge. From the parking area, there is an Office space towards the west and a servant room towards the southwest.

Shades of luxury

On the first floor, there is a courtyard, dining area, kitchen, two bedrooms, and a living area. The living room is elevated to create a luxurious and grand appearance. The living, dining, and bedrooms overlook the courtyard at different levels. One of the challenges was to bring in ample natural light and ventilation from the east side courtyard wall, using terracotta brick to create shades and shadows in the morning. A metal staircase connects to the second floor, serving as a focal point from every space in the house.

Entertaining connections

Ascending the metal staircase to the second floor, you’ll find the master bedroom on the southwest side, a guest bedroom on the southeast side, a library/family area on the east side, and a home theater on the northeast side. The master bedroom and toilet overlook a private courtyard, providing natural light and ventilation.

The library/family area offers a view of the first-floor courtyard, adding a unique feature to the house. An interaction space is designed in front of the home theater to bring the family together, and it is connected to the front terrace. The second-floor terrace overlooks the first-floor terrace, which is connected to the living area.

On the third floor, the design focuses on creating an entertainment zone where the family can spend quality time together. It includes a gym, pool table area, restroom, steam room, and a jacuzzi for relaxation. The terrace floor creates a soothing ambiance in the evening with soft lighting
