Take a closer look at the three dimensional personalities of this Pune home

Designed by Yash Chudiwal and Sejal Bamb of Y:S Architects with a captivating blend of stones and textures, the Solid House creates a unique and artistically appealing atmosphere.

Modern elements meets an artistic flair in this living with the elements of bold colors, textured tile on the wall, contemporary artworks and a hint of bling in the lose furniture. This home is adorned with warm tones and concerted elements. Every room has a wall cladding material which is either stone, marble or tile which adds a lot of character and depth to the room aesthetic as it the focal point of the entire design. 

Touch of elegance

As you step inside, you’re greeted by a customised cylindrical niche- 2 of longer sides while others spread out in relatively smaller sizes finished with texture paint in 2 colors combination. 

The seamless integration of different materials, colors and textures takes us to the main living room also resulting in a harmonious and earthy feel. The living room, adorned with statuario tile which has subtle grooves in it, displays a plush sofa upholstered in a warm plum leather fabric sourced from Stanley sits in the living room, inviting you to sink into its comfort, rose pink wall panel and tv unit finished in PU and addition of gold elements in tv unit and lose furniture. The accent chairs are meticulously arranged, a flow-like pattern, adding a touch of elegance and individuality to this room. The variation in texture and color further adds depth and visual interest to the space. The TV unit is minimalistic and elegant in its own way. 

The furniture in this apartment is carefully chosen to harmonize with the stone and ceramic elements. The dining area showcases a sleek table made of a brushed gold metallic legs and a stunning black marble top, providing a striking contrast against the seemingly beige texture wallpaper with custom made circular mirror in brushed gold finish. The Bespoke Console unit in fluted shutters and black marble top compliments well in the room, it is functional as well a piece of art in its own. 

Reclaiming rustic beauty

The master bedroom combines the serene beauty of aqua blue color with the natural elegance of sandstone. The walls of the bedroom are painted in a delicate aqua blue pastel color, creating a soothing and calming atmosphere. This color choice evokes a sense of coastal tranquility and brings a refreshing feel to the space.

The natural sandstone, with its impressive 75mm thickness, is prominently featured in the room. The sandstone, sourced from Rajasthan, adds a touch of rustic charm and earthy texture to the bedroom. Its warm hues and unique patterns create a visually captivating focal point within the space and the natural veining and patterns found in sandstone add a sense of movement and texture, making the back drop a work of art.

The bespoke bed in the room is designed to complement the overall aesthetic. It is likely crafted with attention to detail and made from high-quality materials. The bed’s design and finish may be tailored specifically to match the room’s color scheme and the natural beauty of the sandstone. 

Overall, this master bedroom combines the calming aqua blue color palette with the rich textures and hues of natural sandstone. The bespoke bed and extended seating area complete the space, offering both functionality and an elevated sense of style.

Contemporary to the core

The son’s room is designed with a sleek and stylish aesthetic, featuring marble cladding on the walls with wall trims for added elegance. The statement piece of the room is a bold black bed from Stanley, which adds a touch of contemporary sophistication.

The walls of the room are adorned with marble cladding, exuding a sense of luxury and refinement, creating a visually striking backdrop. 

To cater to the son’s avid reading habits, a study table is attached to a bookshelf. This provides a dedicated workspace where the son can comfortably indulge in his reading pursuits. The study table may have ample storage space for books, stationary and other study materials, ensuring a clutter-free environment.

A TV unit with fluted shutters is also incorporated into the room. This unit adds a touch of visual interest with its marble backdrop, offering a stylish storage solution for media devices and accessories. 

Overall, this apartment’s interior design showcases a harmonious blend of stones, ceramic tiles, and natural sandstone. The plum color can bring a rich and sophisticated tone to the space, while the aqua blue can provide a calming and refreshing feel and the black and white colors can add a touch of elegance and timeless appeal to the design, while the varied textures and patterns of the materials add depth and character to each room.

Overall, the combination of these materials and colors can create a cohesive and stylish interior that feels both natural and contemporary. The textures, patterns, and colors work together to create a visually striking space that is both functional and inviting.
