The clients presented a unique challenge – a love for traditional furniture intertwined with a desire to embrace the prevailing modern trends. The design style adopted for UK 603 can be aptly described as contemporary, infused with a vintage element vibe.
Beauty of balance
The pivotal concept behind the project was to maintain a modern interior while incorporating a dedicated space for classical furnishings. This delicate balance between tradition and modernity guided the entire creative process.
The 3BHK layout featured a central passage leading to all bedrooms. To address the challenge of a blank entrance space, a sliding partition was introduced, not only dividing the areas but also ensuring privacy for the bedrooms. The kids’ room, a half bedroom, was strategically designed with a bunk bed and wall climbers, maximizing floor space for activities.
Doused in elegance
The residence boasts a foundation of white and muted laminates, complemented by fluted and tinted glass. Vintage furnishings, featuring carved wood details, such as mirror frames in the dining area and chest of drawers in the master bedroom, add a touch of timeless elegance.
A rich palette of colors and textures was employed throughout the residence, from boucle for the living area to cotton for the master bedrooms and suede for the kids’ room. Circular and arch designs were recurrent elements, tying together the divergent design styles. The master bedroom exudes a classical touch, while the son’s room embraces deep tones with a grey ceiling, and the kids’ room radiates freshness in blush pink.
Best of both worlds
The USP of this home lies in the seamless amalgamation of current modern interiors with exquisite traditional furnishings. It’s a delicate dance between two worlds, offering the best of both to its inhabitants.
The UK 603 Residential Project stands as a testament to the designer’s ability to strike a perfect harmony between tradition and modernity, resulting in a living space that is both timeless and contemporary.
