Trace opulence in the Marble-ous surfaces of this Mumbai duplex

This duplex in Mumbai is designed and tailored by Raj Kothari of AVVO, for the owner of the esteemed Royal Impex Marble. All the unique and finest marble slabs have been supplied by them, hence giving this project its name as “The House of Marble.”

The house showcases the perfect harmony between minimal aesthetics and contemporary approach, making it a true marvel of interior design. The pristine White Satvario marble floors extending gracefully onto the walls create a luxurious and timeless ambiance, while the intricate details of the marble patterns add a touch of artistic beauty. Our stylist, Studio 1mm, leaves no detail overlooked while meticulously styling each room and uplifting the site entirely. Adding to the allure, are the cushions and bedding spread across every room from Rearrange Home, which adorn the interiors with elegance and charm.

Captivating from the first sight

As you step into living room your eyes are immediately drawn to the captivating centerpiece, the stunning TV unit crafted meticulously with a seamless fusion of marble and veneer. The formal L-shaped sofa invites you to relax in Its opulence, while the marble wall commands attention, emanating an aura of grandeur and sophistication.

Nestled besides the TV unit wall, lies a hidden gem : A concealed bar unit seamlessly integrated into the wall panelling, finished with the fluted veneer. As the paneling gracefully unveils the concealed bar, a backlit Brazilian Onyx panels casts a warm and ethereal glow, infusing the space with an enchanting ambiance. The 2 bold wine coloured boucle arm chairs provides the perfect informal seating by the bar to enjoy a drink at the end of a hard working day.

The custom dining table is a striking masterpiece that effortlessly blends elegance with modern design. Crafted with black Brazilian Granite with a unique single leg, which features a curve veneer finish adds a touch of sleekness and flair to the boldness of the granite.

The living room flows into the den by simply opening the continuous veneer wall paneling disguised as a sliding partition. The space adorns black textured veneer which adds a cave like feeling to the space alongside a sofa cum bed from Woodage paired with a fun clock faced centre table.

The black wardrobe shutters discretely hides 2 integral elements to blend in practicality along with aesthetics : A work desk that slides out and the pathway to a hidden bathroom with custom patterned marble flooring and a single piece of marble basin.

Touch of luxury

The master bedroom is on the upper level, which is accessed via the staircase with each step crafted with teak wood adding warmth and character to the space as you ascend. This journey becomes even more interesting with the paintings on the staircase wall and an elaborate onyx chandelier dropping down from the ceiling.

You then witness a stunning fusion of opulent blue marble paired with an alternating walnut veneer bed back. Continuing the seamless transition of design elements, the walnut veneer paneling extends gracefully onto the bathroom door, but with a twist: The panels are artfully crafted in flute form, adding texture and visual interest to the door while maintaining the overarching aesthetic of the space.

Adding a touch of modernity and practicality is the switchable glass partition between the staircase and the master bedroom. This innovative feature allows for customisation of privacy levels with ease, ensuring both functionality and style are seamlessly integrated into the design.

The focal point of the parents’ bedroom is the luxurious bed, backed by a one of a kind bookmatch marble, inviting you to sink into its comfort. Complementing the bed is a white fluted marble wall, adding texture and visual interest to the space while maintaining a sense of elegance and sophistication.

Drama in the details

The guest room boasts a captivating curved corner embellished with White Satvario marble, infusing the space with timeless elegance. The wardrobe features grey veneer, cleverly angled at 45 degrees, adding a contemporary touch to the space.

As your gaze transcends, you’ll discover a rustic single-piece wood door, opening into the bathroom crafted entirely in white onyx, enveloping you in an ethereal ambiance that exudes luxury at its finest.

All in all, in “The House of Marble,” every detail is thoughtfully considered to create an environment where comfort and practicality coexist harmoniously, offering a haven of tranquility and sophistication.
